@cso7777Were you even there when BF3 came out? Even if it did bring new players it is only because it came out for consoles as well. It might be considered a success today but it didn't start out that way.

@CantGetRightI understand all your arguments and I remember the forums for BF3, it was the same as today - game is COD now, too many snipers, too many campers etc etc.
I understand that BF3 changed the BF-formula compared to "the old days", but still it was a big commercial success compared to older versions.
BF2 was another type of game (more tactical and deadly), but in reality this type of game is not as popular as the more casual / chaotic nature of BF3 (and later versions of BF).
