Sure I get that, but Internal balance is a different argument entirely.
The specialists are core design philosophy change, and one that has a negative impact on map design, immersion, etc
I now think that the biggest problem in most players eyes is the TONE of the game. The one liners, and the looks of the characters. Here is the thing: if they remove the one liners and change the looks of specialists to a more serious military tone, people would be happier BUT it will be the exact same game. It is a futuristic title, the abilities of the specialists are fun and they add to the value of the game. It is not as boring after awhile because you can start to play a different specialist. I think if EA changes the tone of the game and fixes bugs, adds more content, specialists will not be an issue.
