I agree with most everything already said, and I also plan to wait until they work out all the bugs. I'll wait till the reviews come out and see what they have to say about it, before buying.

Will not buy at all as there is no chance that they will be able to fix the cheating issues on the PC.
The only thing preventing me is the BF5 hackers that will enter BF2042. Only when EA fixes this i´ll buy BF2042.

no anti cheat again, EA abandoned AC after punkbuster get broken, they should look for new AC companies like battleye or easyAC, easyAC is more complicated because it does belong to epic now, they should quote the battleye service which does block a lot of cheats.
I will be nitpicking, but nothing can make me preorder. Only I can make a sovereign decision that I do or do not. Nobody external to me can do that.
To be extremely honest, I do not see a reason to preorder anything, anywhere as a matter of principle. I am not shaking to try the new thing, same as old, like the boss, meet the new boss, same as the old boss :P
While there might be something that makes one wonder, if there is going to be anything substantially new and actually better ? (ignoring the graphics, they are new for a few days) Only for the sake of testing, to see how the construct behaves, the engine, destructibility, movement speed, sounds, physics, depiction of propulsion, depiction of damage, combat system, hp, rear armor, deflect angle if present. If all that is actually interesting, I guess the standard I set very high, I will be able to compare. OR a better comparison would be with old ones. In such a case, there would be little space for optimism for a new bf game. What kinds of weapons do what kinds of damage, are aircraft damagable with infantry small arms etc.
I do not let others tell me what is good, I need to see for myself. So, videos of the game will be enough for me to decide without preordering something that I could discover to be in beta-stage at release. Masses telling its good, buy, only to discover later that it doesnt fit my expectations ? Better keep cool. You are not losing anything when you dont preorder. I bought bf4 relic a week ago. Premium for 8€.For 8 year old game ? But at least I got to test it, to see whether it is worth my time. Even if not, that 8€ loss isnt too big.
- @Terofishy Nothing specifically. I don't want the digital version. But on PS5 the only way to get the Gold and Ultimate is digital. So basically it's no rush for me. It's a day one buy regardless, but I'm going to get the physical disk. I just haven't decided where I want to pre-order it from.

I insta pre-ordered highest tier package the second it was allowed. BF is my main game. Always play for 500+ hours.
Instantly pre-ordering now doesn't yield the benefits of pre-ordering closer to date of release when the game will ultimately be featured on the Microsoft rewards system so I can get cash back.
- sk1lld5 years agoLegend
What do you think is still preventing you from instant pre-ordering this game?
BFV is the answer to this question. It's a digital download, what's the point of pre-order. It's not like they are going to run out
