What's Up With the Ballistic Sheild?

What the hell is going on with the Ballistic Shield.  I've seen that thing take assult rifles, SMGs, LMGs, rockets and C4 and it's still in one piece.  That's got to be a mistake right?  Is DICE aware this thing is over powered?  I would appreciate someone updating me on whether DICE has plans to do anything about it.  Is there a counter for it?  So far, all I have been able to do is throw  some C4 (or is it C5?) behind the player or at his feet and try to bring him down that way.

    @Roncensvalles Works for me. Need to be close and aim dead center not point blank but say 30 to 50 feet.
    Generally they dont expect it, fire a few gun rounds…duck and switch then POW!

    @Roncensvalles I suggest you change the position, and spawn as Dozer for a couple of matches, and try to use the Shield.
    The Shield is very powerful in certain situations, but in my humble opinion those are pretty rare.

    @Roncensvalles I've seen it take a tank shell

    And it drives me crazy cuz I can stab someone time and time again and not get a hit marker but a shield.will 1 hit tko me

    So Just Today I finally finished Tier 1 for Dozer..

    Yes, I slapped 800 people with a shield.

    And I tell you now.. it's far from over powered.

    You run slower with it out, your turn speed gets reduced to what feels like 30%.

    You get side stepped by what feels like professional Rugby Players.

    If your caught in the open, you're dead.

    If you get caught by 2 players, you're dead. 

    If someone throws an incendiary grenade at your feet, you're dead.

    Yes the shield can stop bullets from any gun, and yes, it can tank a direct hit from a tank, but the Negatives far out way the Positives.

    So No, the shield doesn't need to be nerfed, or have a mechanic where it can only soak X amount of damage.

    Try maining Dozer for a couple of full length games and then try tell me his shield is over powered.

    I shot a rm5 recoil full 100% at riot shield from enemy , in front of me , with a distancxe of 3meters.
    Nothing happend, no damage, nothing.. and he happily knifed me !!

    Something is wrong with riot shield if ya shoot at it with certain weapons.
