When do we get full XP from the portal servers?

Question

We have been hosting servers since BF3 (2012) and we had quite popular servers, only Battlefield game we did not run a server before BF2042, was BFV.

So, portal servers should have been the love letter to communities. I was quite excited to hear that portal servers are at the launch of BF 2042 and we had high hopes about it.

In order to have any chance to get people to play at portal you should get full XP, not limited one.

The issue has been apparently so called boosting servers why this is limited.
There has been servers like that in BF2, BC2, BF3, BF4, BFH, BF1, so why this is suddenly a problem that everyone who creates the portal server needs to be punished about it?

There is enough punishment when servers are non-persistent (as it will be the limiting factor) and servers can't be set to favourites in BF1 way.

There are also other punishments for the communities like lack of Platoons etc, only 4 ppl can play together in public servers, so this has to be limited as well?

Please let server owners get full XP and just limit XP with boosting servers in a different way. Like limiting that you can't set Bot level to lowest in public servers, only in password protected etc.

There are also a lot of other issues with the portal servers, so can we pls get full XP at least? Thank you 🙂

And could you consider to provide servers that can be bought (RSP), that stays online 24/7 persistent ones, has at least minimum of BF1 server functions available ?

I guess since in 2023 there isn't hardly a full xp server to join with actual people portal isn't getting full xp. Makes no since, ea is in denial that this is still a popular fps, it's not. It makes no since that I wait all week to get on a live full xp server on a Friday to play 2 rounds before it empties with about 10 people &amp; 50 bots. I get full xp there with bots why not portal? Set up xp to gain more or less with ai difficulty level. How hard is that ea/dice?! And ad a text chat for the other team at least for host Jesus...

I think at this point the XP setup might not change. That said, I think I would prefer it if virtually everything let you earn full XP.

they took it away because before Season 1 - players were setting up bot servers with nothing but onslaught settings of dumbed down Bots with minimum skill and even weapon restrictions on the bots verses players with full abilities. people were getting 10-20+ ranks a match. by week 2-3 after the initial release, players were already in S-Ranks, it was significantly exploited and abused to no end. now, certain settings will restrict and reduce XP for that very reason.

Oh it was worse, Portal and even Co-Op modes gave you ZERO XP, that was changed back to limited for certain modifications and adjustments.

Portal is dead.&nbsp; At least to me, it is.&nbsp; Nothing but hardcore and xp farm servers.&nbsp; So much for a love letter to the fans!&nbsp; Could have been so much more.
