When squad management arrives, will they persist across maps?

A massive benefit of server browser was its ability to allow communities to self organise and play together on a regular basis. Also, you could find a squad that worked well together, even randoms, and play through a tonne of maps together smashing it.

so I’m curious as to when squad management is eventually delivered, If that squad will stay together in the next map? Or will be it a bunch of randoms again?

Whilst squad management is going to be great, I still think we’re using a large component of what made BF fun to play.

I would think not as the server disbands at the end of the round correct?

This is what I suspect will happen based on 2042's overall life so far where all squad members are thrown to the 4 winds unless they're in party.

Its unbelievably stupid. BF is designed around squad play.. and they managed to tear that apart!
And they cant manage to fix it?
    Beggars belief.

@RayD_O1It’s unlikely, but one can hope. Squad management might get me back to playing. Shall see. I miss the element of community one got from the server browser, pretty much the main reason I played.

I agree, sadly the community element is non existent these days in comparison to previous BF's. ☹️

@FlibberMeister Agreed. They capture an enormous amount of player meta reach round down to number of bullets fired, I work with meta in the streaming TV world and its mind-blowing to me the amount of data Dice captures per player. I would assume they could do anything at this point.
  • @FlibberMeister I kind of like random squads if you are not in a party with friends, it allows you to meet new people, see how they act within a squad and other elements of interaction. The negative of that is, you also get the negative solo's but in a reversal at least that shows you who you don't want to associate with if you are a squad heavy player. Then you also get to figure out who doesn't know how to configure VoIP and who are the idiots of VoIP that broadcast a whole bunch of nonsense resulting in them getting muted.

At the flip side - I would like to retain squads between matches.

@NazT55 - No, it does not disband. you are still in the same match making instance ( enable the network bar and look in the top right corner to see what i mean )

at End of Round - if you DO NOT click "Return to Menu" you stay in that same session as the server loads the new map, what it does do however, is randomize the teams and squads. So as long as you do nothing at End of Round into a new Round, you are still in the same server and MM Instance.

my biggest joy of getting Squad Management is if we as a Squad Leader can kick out annoying players.

Those who refuse to adjust their mics,  are annoying and irritating over VoIP, fail to work as a squad member, among other things.

@AOD_CapStar362 That would be good. There's nothing worse than playing with a bunch of muppets who seem to want to do nothing but camp the whole match or annoy other squad players by lying in front of them, or my pet hate, standing in front of you, deliberately, when you've a shot lined up.
