So when are we getting portal maps that were promised back before launch with each new season? New portal maps would add to the content, which this game is desperately in need of. I would love to play on Operation Metro, Wake Island, Operation Firestorm, etc again. The game is getting better which is awesome but if this game is to get some of its player base back, adding these portal maps that were promised, would help drastically with that. Playing the same maps over and over without having a large selection, really makes the game boring. It would be fine only having 1 new map added with each season, if we also got 2-3 portal maps added also. Previous battlefield titles had almost double, if not triple the amount of maps weve gotten in this game. Please give us an update on this EA.

@Anobix This is true. I was thinking about Grand Bazaar. I loved that map but I'm curious how it would play with Mackay

The lack of new Portal maps is particularly irritating when it was a separate studio working on Portal. Why weren't they continuing to update old maps? Nothing beats a bit of nostalgia and a couple of new portal maps each season would have tempted a lot of long term players back.At this point, unless they have a surprise waiting for us, I don't think we will see anything new for Portal beyond the toolkit used to make games. Another disappointment for 2042.

All this does is back the ideas that there is only a skeleton crew still working on the game and that once Season 4 ends, they will cut support for the game. Which I hope they don't. The game has so much potential and is getting better and better but we need more content, we need more maps specifically. More portal maps. Right now there is only 15 maps after one year when there should be almost doubled that.

When you can just zip up and drop a spawn beacon ontop of a random building and go behind the enemy it drastically changes the flow and chokepoints of the maps, for better or worse.

I hope they insert new(old) maps soon!
Because i really hate the BF2042, there is no destruction! It looks like call of duty.
While on Portal we have the old maps thare are amazing!
I need to destroy all the walls 😂

@TheRealXandreasX thought at least close quarters maps from bf3 with that new mode then give us 4-6 new maps for portal, but with crashing and no unlocks in solo/coop a lot of us ask why. at this point i dont understand with the emp and ammo servers just unlock ribbons and xp and port some more maps for the love.

Yea, who knows, maybe it'll end up being a merry x-mas and 2023 will be the start of a much more productive year for 2042.
It would seem that with such a small crew in place that it's just a pipe dream at this point, but along with such big hopes brings those warm fuzzy feelings that are difficult to suppress 😬

I am totally with you all in that some new Portal maps would be great!! Portal is the main thing that makes me enjoy Battlefield 2042, and it is really what keeps me interested in the game.
