We were told that we would be given a heads-up regarding the beta this week. It's weekend already and I don't think we have heard anything regarding it and I don't expect any new details from DICE/EA during weekends so I guess it's safe to say they didn't keep up their word. Saying so much as 'Beta details will be given next week' is a heads-up. This is complete radio silence from the devs and it's getting quite frustrating at this point. Why is the communication so poor? I understand that the dates might not yet be finalized but atleast admit that. Stop ghosting us and give us something. As you said.. We have been told to be given heads up this week about Beta. But some info about BF2042 were during weekend so we can't lost our hope yet.

Also its more than clear that Beta will not be this month as its almost end of September.

Im expecting Beta in early November with some info this weekend or next week.. I know Devs are super busy and that they are working hard to deliver us Beta and then BF2042 with better experience, but the 0 communication from their team is making many people angry, mad and its frustrating to see it in this way how it is...

We can do nothing now, just wait and see what info we get...

@FireExhauster Back in the early 2000s we didn't have developers who told us things every single day.

We had videogame magazines once a month at most.

Back then you would have gotten news only once or maybe twice if you were lucky before a game fully released.

If you think what EA and DICE are doing right now is silence?... You haven't experienced anything like the true silence we got about games such as Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2. We knew almost nothing about them until AFTER they were fully released!

In the end they still ended up being great and Battlefield 2042 will be no different 🙂

@Jesse165Back in the days people couldn't pay the full price for a game and not being able to play it either. Back then videogames had almost always mod support. I can write out a whole list but it's probably to deaf man's ears.

It's just a different time and no communication whatsoever is unacceptable for a lot of people.

Seeing how BF1 and BF5 were sub par and not in the same league as BF1942 and BF2 at all I have no trust yet that BF2042 will be as good as the latter games.

Probably going to be Thursday. The last day of the month. It's always as late as possible.

We're in standard dice\ea scramble mode where they're trying to slap something together at the last minute to push out as a "beta". Liklihood is they have no idea themselves. So we continue to wait, they continue to ignore comments on this\ stall for time and the cycle continues.
This has all the hallmarks of yet another bodge job rush release, and they were crowing earlier in the year about the game being ahead of schedule.
A multi billion dollar company that honestly couldn't organise a drinking session in a brewery.

I test for some other devs. and most have gone dark on any info about certain games due to the pandemic.
