Hey folks, so I am wanting to give players something to consider other than the VHX that has a good balance for close / mid range engagements. Take a look at the damage profiles for both weapons below. With this alone it may appear that the VHX always wins. However, the additional spread added in a recent update changes things up a bit, especially mid range. In the full video I identify that one weapon has a better spread and recoil profile (M5A3), while the other has a better damage profile (VHX). So, which is better? Does the greater damage profile of the VHX offset its greater spread compared to the M5. I make my own conclusions I provide the evidence for you to decide and test yourself. @YT_SMKGAMINGDid you test all the different set ups with different ammo and accessories? I’ve T1d all the weapons, and now run M5 and Deagle. I can throw a long barrel and a 6 power with hi power ammo and snipe. I can run short barrel with the close combat ammo and tear up a room really easily. I prefer the M5 over the VHX as much because I don’t need to reload the M5 as much. Besides, the server tick rate dictates how many of our bullets hit and we all know that’s all over the map. So in any game one might end up better and it’s out of our control. I say run the gun you think is best and for you… it’s the best.

Hardly ever use either weapon. But, when I did I found the VHX was a bit of a faster shot. Love the M5A3 though definitely a weapon I want under my pillow at night 😎

I would still use the M5A3 over the VHX in most situations

@GrizzGolfI recently enjoyed completing T1 with the M5A3, it's a fairly decent all rounder. 👍

@RanzigeRidder2 Pretty much my take on it. Love the SFAR too, good weapon and with the pacifier skin giving the unique sight it's hard to beat

@YT_SMKGAMING I know I'm deviating from the topic here, sorry, but I'm curious if you have info about how the M16A3 holds up against the VHX?

On topic: Not uses either much since doing their T1s but, like others, I think I'd take the VHX on maps with more CQC and the M5A3 on more open ones.

@ElliotLH Its funny you mention that because I asked in the video what people would like me to do a video on next and that one popped up the most, so I think it will be in my next comparison.

@YT_SMKGAMING That was a handy coincidence. I'll keep an eye out for you doing that comparison.

I'm leaning towards it being pretty decent against the VHX due to the ROF, but I'll be really interested in seeing a deep dive from someone who's looking at it in more detail.

On consoles both dominate due to recoil reduction.
I wanna see how the recoil acts consoles vs PC at longer distances like 50m - 100m.
Offtopic: Also, DMRs on consoles have practically 0 recoil when shot in sustained fire.
