Why Battlefield 2042 Represents the Collapse of a Triple-A Gaming Company

You want me to check every single thing you mention to make sure it's true? Why not do that yourself? Did you read the reddit post you linked, again? I want the issues people post to be real, not made up, completely confused about something that is a real issue, misunderstanding balance, or from 2-3 years ago (unless that's the whole point, but given you mention the 20mm flak, it's not). ESPECIALLY given how easy it still is to find real issues with 2042.

If you want to just complain in an echo chamber about 2042 bad, you don't need to make a long post and frame it as "objective" and include citations. Citing a wrong reddit post is literally what games journalists do. You can just say "2042 bad, XP to the bottom left", and we all know 2042 bad. This isn't some revelation.

Battlefield isn't Arma (or Squad or such). Arma does realism, however 99% of games aren't nor want to be Arma. They're different games. You talk about identity - Battlefield's identity has never been slow paced highly realistic shooter. It's a casual game where people jump out of a jet to fire a rocket at another jet. You don't refute the balance. Should we go back to the Battlefield 4 shield, or have overpowered vehicles, or have the game be hardcore mode by default or what? Remove the shield, remove the 50mm? Make it so the javelin is a 1 shot kill to all vehicles, the RPG is useless against armor, but you can equip it with a powerful HE head and go ruin Redacted matches?
