Unfortunately, 'underhand' methods of play (far, far worse than mere scripts) are more widespread than people normally associate consoles with.
Whenever you die suspiciously to a console player do not automatically just blame aim-assist. Previous BFs (namely BFV and BF1) are simply unplayable in some servers, both on Xbox and PS.
I've reported people with supporting videos in BFV and seen them banned, However after BF2042 released I reported a Japanese hacker 5 times over 1 month in BFV, all with supporting videos showing they were using a speed hack to run super fast and EA did nothing.
It was at that point I realized EA doesn't care about supporting customers once they have your cash, frankly why I quit playing Battlefield and Switched to CoD, at least Blizzard is trying to doing something to stop the cheating. You don't got to suck up to EA, they wont do anything to help you.
