You are basically saying that there should be an easy way to get a given reward for anyone who doesn't want to try the 'hard' way?
Isn't that the very definition of a participation trophy?
Perhaps DICE should just give it away for no effort what so ever.
And although yes, bots can be in PvP they are far from your 50/50, I think I have come across 3 at most in PvP since launch.
@Trokey66if that's the case then they should have never offered the pve side of things, and should have mentioned that there would be certain things you can't do in solo/coop instead of doing the opposite.
I meant 50/50 together across all the modes not just in one.
Point is that they took away an intended feature after people spent money on it. Whether you like it or not, you also bought the game as did everyone else and xp and unlocks are supposed to be across the board. If you didn't like that pve is supposed to be getting the same treatment then maybe you shouldn't have bought into it.
If people had been told before release that solo/coop and custom portal would be restricted then there wouldn't be an issue in the first place. As I previously said this is not the players at fault. If you want to cry to someone cry to whoever is in charge of such things. It is because of them that this has become an issue in the first place (read my first post).
I play both pvp and pve. If I want to do weeklies in multiplayer and someone else wants do them in solo I really couldn't care less. This is a pvp AND a pve game. You decided to buy it and therefore acceptance of knowing people play pvp and/or pve will be a thing
- Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@Spidder81 This is absolutely the players fault for abusing and exploiting PvE, if they hadn't done that, there would be no issue.
Also, it is crystal clear what you have to do in the weekly mission, if you don't want to do it because you only play PvE, that's up to you.
I didn't buy the game because of PvE but if there is ever a PvE only mission, I'll suck it up and do it or go without that reward.- Spidder814 years agoSeasoned Ace
@Trokey66I do both so it really doesn't bother me where the weeklies go in order to complete them. And solo players I have spoken to have said if there is a pvp only weekly they are willing to do it.
Point is that if its say get so many kills with x weapon, then players should have the choice of pvp or pve. We have even suggested upping the amount of pve kills you would need compared to pvp kills. Or as you say if its in a mode they don't like they can take it or leave it.
If you read my previous post I said that they knew that xp farms could be an issue since July, and failed to put in any safeguards. People just used the tools given to them. So no it is not the players fault.- Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace
@Spidder81So it is not the players fault for cheating and using hacks?
And getting x kills with y weapon should be PvP only because PvE is like shooting fish in a barrel! Even if it was 100 kills for PvE, it would take less than one full round of Breakthrough and is no challenge at all.
Weekly missions should take players out of their comfort zone if they want the reward and that includes PvE going to PvP and vice versa if required.
- 4 years ago@Trokey66 @Trokey66 It's the devs fault for giving people the farming tools, in the first place. If they hadn't been in the game, they couldn't have been used at all--and we wouldn't be here discussing this, right now.
I say make XP earning and progression--not kill counts, revives, etc.--roughly equal, across all modes, based on average accumulation/hour, and you won't have an issue any longer. Everyone--whether in PvP or PvE--will be unlocking and upgrading at about the same rate. Problem solved.
