No but regular players are deemed less important by some it seem's.
They let streamers have early access so no stress on servers etc it's all planned.
Let's look at jackfrags for example bf2042 is rubbish and then a update he has early access to it's great again!!
7 days later its rubbish next update rinse and repeat.
- UP_LordPlumber2 years agoSeasoned Ace@Sohsuh Anyone is free to make a youtube account and start making videos. If you are consistent enough and get a somewhat of a community, you can get into the early program.
Its all comes down to advertisement. They want as many people to see the product as possible before release. Its what trailers are for, its what capture events for youtubers are for. - Sohsuh2 years agoNew Ace@YourLocalPI You have to have a head injury if you think having a successful youtube channel that gets benefits from a large gaming company is the same thing as someone paying $15.
- Sohsuh2 years agoNew Ace@Kona_uk Ah finally, someone with some sense.
You are slightly correct.
The real reason they do this is so that the streamers talk up the product before it's released to the public. This way, with most of their releases being terrible and this game being awful in general, people can be swindled into buying a battle pass because X streamer said that the content is good.
If they let the general public play it at the same time, then people would see that it isn't good before they see anyone hyping it up, making them less likely to buy anything.
In short, they use streamers to pass off bad content as good in hopes to get money from people who can't think for themselves. - UP_LordPlumber2 years agoSeasoned Ace@Sohsuh Holy mother of God, after like 10 people told you its all about marketing, you got it XDDDDDD
- @Sohsuh After a whole thread of people telling you that they do it to promote the game leading into an update you finally come to the same conclusion yourself as if it's some fresh discovery.
This is how new products and updates are promoted across the entertainment industry, both good and bad products.
Beyond that, you continue to seem wholly ignorant of this topic but absolutely confident you completely understand it. A sentient Dunning Kruger example that's found the BF2042 forums, impressive. - Sohsuh2 years agoNew Ace@UP_LordPlumber Good lord how can you be so dense?
- Sohsuh2 years agoNew Ace@edgecrusherO0 I wanted people to admit it was a scam instead of trying to come off as if it's just normal advertisement.
Only 1 person partially did.
The rest of you act like it's just a regular old commercial.
It's predatory and it's become a regular thing for all these companies who ship garbage content, and all the streamers continue to lie about the product because they want the goody bag. - Trokey662 years agoSeasoned Ace@Sohsuh How on this God's green earth can this be considered a 'scam'?
It is simply 'free advertisment' nothing more, nothing less. - @Sohsuh Sweet, I guess you don't know what a scam is, either.
Yes, this is routine, regular promotion for a product ahead of the products release. This happens with the vast majority of notable commercial products, including game updates.
The salt has shriveled up your poor little brain. Drink some water, hydrate, and use those little grey cells mon ami.
