Why is everyone complaining so much about the new specialist system?

I really don't understand why people are having such an issue with this new system.  Like ya, I would prefer the old class system but I don't see specialists as that big of an issue. For me though,...

@Ingeniekey So 30 assaults v 25 medics (All generic clones) didn't break immersion in bf1 or any game previous to bfv? The whole name thing is just marketing rubbish. Whether the specialist system works won't be because they have names

@ninjapenquinuk No it didn't because you played under a faction so there was there immersion of unit cohesion. Also at that time having more skins weren't really thought off. But wished by many.
