1. DICE you guys have made a huge mistake by forcing PS5 and Xbox SX/S players to play with PC players. When I disable crossplay I cannot find lobbies anymore, so the console playerbase has to forcefully keep on playing with PC.
2. Apex legends has been an inspiration for the BF2042 developers, but Apex legends only has crossplay in between consoles, i.e(PS4,PS5 and Xbox SX/S, Xbox one). So DICE now you know the console playerbase has been suffering a lot by playing with PC players.
3. I highly suggest adding console only servers for PS5 and Xbox SX/S. This would benefit a big chunk of players like myself who do not want cheaters in their lobby and do not want to sweat their balls off every time they play BF2042.
Thanks I hope you will listen to this feedback.

Dice, there's no servers to play on in AU for PS5 with crossplay off. Constantly stuck in waiting for players screen to join before being kicked back to the main menu after a few minutes regardless of the game mode - this is beyond a joke for a online only multiplayer game
And before anyone suggests to just "turn on crossplay", that shouldn't be the answer. PC has a distinct advantage with accuracy and response times with keyboard, mouse so it's not a level playing field.
Remember Dice; you said:
"As a multiplayer-only experience, it's important for us to let you play Battlefield 2042 when and how you want,"
"AI soldiers are used for server-filling capabilities, ensuring your matches remain full, no matter your location."
so where are our servers?

I need help. I am on PS5, Brazil. I can never play with the crossplay off.
I'm desperate. I haven't played since 11/12
Thanks

I am from Brazil too and I am having the same problem. I cannot find any game if I turn off the crossplay. If enable 90% of the players are PC.
I am playing on Xbox Series X.
- 4 years ago@DanielRicciardo Agree.
- 4 years ago@DanielRicciardo I totally disagree with your 2nd point but agree on the 4th.
There are a massive amount of players who wants to play with pc-players but in the current state of the game it's impossible bc there is'nt any support for mouse and keyboard, that's why so many here advocate the support of MnK, BUT only for crossplay so it's fair- 4 years ago
as White_NoaiM said, there are many console players that WOULD like the opportunity to play cross platform with our PC friends using our M&KB. I agree there is an advantage against controllers in many situations that is why I only want to use M&KB against those folks that opt for the same input

@MTFULemming Completely agree with you on this point.
- JayB_21034 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
@White_NoaiM I completely understand your opinion, but there are a lot of console players who do not want to play with PC. All i want to say is that crossplay shouldn’t be forced.
- 4 years ago@DanielRicciardo Wow so they don't even have servers if you turn it off? This at least worked in the beta, even if you'd find some bots. Speaking of, maybe they are having issues with bots. Anyone seen any?
- 4 years ago@ArchAngeL-PCX probably because crossplay is on by default, most players wont bother to change it
- 4 years ago@ArchAngeL-PCX They do. Doesn't take me more than 10-12 seconds to find a game with crossplay disabled on Ps5.
I actually find matches faster on Ps5 with crossplay disabled than I do on PC with crossplay on.- 4 years ago@BizzyVaping that’s probably because of your location. Me and my friends connect from Asia pacific region. If we turn off cross play, there are no servers to play AoW Breakthrough. Tried to do so from day one and have not gotten into a single game. We try the cross play off thing every day, just to see if it works - but it doesn’t, so we go back to turning on cross play.
- 4 years ago@DanielRicciardo all console players do is complain about cheaters, having played about 10 hours so far I've noticed zero my self and as I play on the hack fest that is pc surely that would be quite impossible according to too the console player base?.
add to that do you really think legitimate pc players want to play against cheaters? imagine you have to every game you play think did that player kill me legitimately, was that dodgy, was he watching me through walls? it's not fun I can tell you..
It's also not fun not being able to play games you like because people do cheat so for us legitimate players crossplay is a godsend. and helps keep games alive on pc.- 4 years ago@V1kingH4mster I haven't seen any cheaters myself, but give it some time. There's a reason Apex disabled cross play with PC. Warzone too since it's a hacked up mess. BFV on PC from what I understand is riddled with hackers too. This is absolutely something that must be fixed. Once the hackers have had time to digest this code, you'll see why.

You basically just said console players should be punished so that your experience is better on PC. That's ridiculous. There's literally no upside to crossplay on console right now, aside from actually being able to find a match, since it's basically forced on Xbox and turning it off the way you have to on Xbox means you're not able to find any populated lobbies.
You made a choice to play on a platform that is notoriously easy to do -that- on, console players chose to play on something much more restricted. Using crossplay as a band-aid for a PC specific issue at the expense of console isn't a solution. Maybe they should fix the root cause of the problem first, then implement INPUT BASED PC-Console crossplay.

That’s basically what he’s saying, yes.
He likes that he has an easier time finding full lobbies with. Crossplay and that half of those lobbies have a mechanical disadvantage against him because of their input.
- 4 years ago@DanielRicciardo EA , dice, do they know about this situation??
- 4 years ago@DanielRicciardo Currently the only way to play is by activating crossplay, otherwise it is impossible to find a game, this should be solved immediately, you cannot compete with those who play on PC, it is impossible to react with a controller that with mouse and keyboard.

I haven’t had any issues finding full lobbies of PS5 only. 🤷♂️
Location: Texas, USA

@SkooLBoY_SkePtiK I don’t think this is a problem in the populated regions like USA or Europe. Here in the Middle east or other regions like Australia or Brazil these kind of problems are predominant. I have been playing battlefield since Bf4 and from my personal experience, I always have to switch to Frankfurt servers once the hype for the new game dies down because no one on these servers plays anymore. This wasn’t a problem until DICE conveniently removed the server browser from this game.

Maybe if more people were able to purchase PS5 and XBSX consoles for the price that they actually cost then there would be players for these platforms on non-crossplay servers. I see XBOX and PS players in almost every squad that I join. Maybe many people with these platforms don't have a problem with crossplay. I personally think that crossplay is one of the best things about multiplayer gaming right now.
@Skill4Reel Cool. But it should always be optional for consoles to play with PC, for obvious reasons.
The thing is, right now at least, for Xbox it's basically forced. You either play with crossplay on or look at the "waiting for players to join" screen until you get bored and do something else.
Xbox gets no notification that disabling crossplay is even possible, unlike PC and PS5 do when they first launch the game. Xbox can't disable crossplay in-game like PC and PS5 can either, and, assuming you happen to come across the greyed-out toggle option in the game menu, the game menu just tells you to go disable it somewhere in the convoluted system menu. It doesn't tell you where or how to go about doing it.
I'm willing to bet that the majority of Xbox players you're running into in crossplay matches aren't even aware that disabling crossplay is possible. They've been automatically opted into it without notice and haven't been told how to opt out or even that they CAN opt out.
I think you can see how this is more likely to be the thing causing the issues with low player count in non-crossplay matchmaking than lack of availability of the consoles. Yeah, they've been hard to get, but they've both sold millions of units in the US alone.
- 4 years ago@DanielRicciardo Don't think they give a sh*t we have a thread on here since early access day 1 and we have had nothing from them. Don't hold your breath for a reply mate.
