Console players have an unfair disadvantage when facing PC players in crossplay lobbies.
This is very annoing and a turn off from Battlefield 2042. I have already a couple of friends who stopped playing from how frustrating this is. Controllers cannot compete with mouse and keyboard. The only solution for console players is to disable crossplay. However, if one does this, its nearly impossible to find a match with only their specific console players. When trying to start a match, it says "waiting for players to join," but the game never starts.
To fix this, DICE needs to limit PC players to only controllers, excluding mouse and keyboard. The other solution is to exclude PC players from crossplay with console players. Let only Xbox Series X players and PS5 players duke it out.
DICE.... This needs a fix!
I have ps5 and turned crossplay off.
Result = zero games
In crossplay I just get hammered by PC players with aim assist in conjunction with K&M. On top of that vehicles & helicopters (especially Bolte & l bird and snipers from the other side of the map that don’t have to deal with horizontal vertical recoil or atmospherics ) are way overpowered and we don’t get enough cover
i did well in DF2,3,4, 1 then the run and gun COD style play came in and BFV and this one have been disastrous for me
sick of dying and respawning in front of enemy guns.
getting trashed all the time really does NOT make the game enjoyable

On pc you don't have aim assist on kbm 🙂
- InsidiuZ4 years agoNew Hotshot@Passdogs_dad 1. As far as I know, pc players do not have any type of aiming assistance.
2. The thing of reappearing and dying over and over again doesn't just happen to you, I think most of us are suffering from this problem due to the bad design of the maps, that is not caused by the PC people. - Jeager1-44 years agoSeasoned Scout@Passdogs_dad Your decision to turn cross-play off, is exactly the point I made on a similar post. This game was created with 128 players (real players) as a key feature that EA/Dice touted as the crowing achievement that would set this game apart from its competition. However, the success of this ambitious goal hinges directly on the seamless integration of all 3 major gaming platforms, into one unified game. Frankly, EA/Dice snubbing their nose at making MnK support native on consoles, is truly a missed opportunity to achieve the very goal they listed above. By not making MnK native on console, all they’ve done is disincentivize console players from enabling a key component of their game…and your comment is proof of the sentiment.
Cross-play is not only the wave of the future for multiplayer gaming, it’s here to stay. In addition to that, cross-play is a feature which will arguably be, what makes or breaks the 128 player experience that y’all over at EA/DICE are striving to achieve. But as it stands now, there is little incentive for console players to enable cross-play, and be thrown into matches against PC players using superior control peripherals, such as a mouse and keyboard.
Since the success of cross-play is as vital to achieving the sort of experience you‘re striving to achieve in this game, it therefore, makes little sense as to why you would discourage console players from enabling cross-play, by not making MnK support native across all platforms. As it stands currently, only PC players are free to use whatever peripherals they choose, while consoles are being forcibly handicapped against PC players, for no apparent reason other than dogma.
