- @DanielRicciardo Currently the only way to play is by activating crossplay, otherwise it is impossible to find a game, this should be solved immediately, you cannot compete with those who play on PC, it is impossible to react with a controller that with mouse and keyboard.
I haven’t had any issues finding full lobbies of PS5 only. 🤷♂️

all console players do is complain about REDACTED, having played about 10 hours so far I've noticed zero my self and as I play on the REDACTED fest that is pc surely that would be quite impossible according to too the console player base?.
add to that do you really think legitimate pc players want to play against REDACTED? imagine you have to every game you play think did that player kill me legitimately, was that dodgy, was he watching me through walls? it's not fun I can tell you..
It's also not fun not being able to play games you like because people do REDACTED so for us legitimate players crossplay is a godsend. and helps keep games alive on pc.I guess you're not allowed to discuss the C word here, since this post has been removed twice now, so I'll try to avoid mentioning it 🙂
You basically just said console players should be punished so that your experience is better on PC. That's ridiculous. There's literally no upside to crossplay on console right now, aside from actually being able to find a match, since it's basically forced on Xbox and turning it off the way you have to on Xbox means you're not able to find any populated lobbies.
You made a choice to play on a platform that is notoriously easy to do -that- on, console players chose to play on something much more restricted. Using crossplay as a band-aid for a PC specific issue at the expense of console isn't a solution. Maybe they should fix the root cause of the problem first, then implement INPUT BASED PC-Console crossplay.
Maybe if more people were able to purchase PS5 and XBSX consoles for the price that they actually cost then there would be players for these platforms on non-crossplay servers. I see XBOX and PS players in almost every squad that I join. Maybe many people with these platforms don't have a problem with crossplay. I personally think that crossplay is one of the best things about multiplayer gaming right now.
@Skill4Reel Cool. But it should always be optional for consoles to play with PC, for obvious reasons.
The thing is, right now at least, for Xbox it's basically forced. You either play with crossplay on or look at the "waiting for players to join" screen until you get bored and do something else.
Xbox gets no notification that disabling crossplay is even possible, unlike PC and PS5 do when they first launch the game. Xbox can't disable crossplay in-game like PC and PS5 can either, and, assuming you happen to come across the greyed-out toggle option in the game menu, the game menu just tells you to go disable it somewhere in the convoluted system menu. It doesn't tell you where or how to go about doing it.
I'm willing to bet that the majority of Xbox players you're running into in crossplay matches aren't even aware that disabling crossplay is possible. They've been automatically opted into it without notice and haven't been told how to opt out or even that they CAN opt out.
I think you can see how this is more likely to be the thing causing the issues with low player count in non-crossplay matchmaking than lack of availability of the consoles. Yeah, they've been hard to get, but they've both sold millions of units in the US alone.
They certainly should fix this, nearly broke my controller yesterday 🙂
@AutotitansMouse and keyboard support + input based matchmaking would genuinely transform this game. All the other stuff about specialists/classes/balance etc. all pale into comparison to the giant issue that input disparities creates. The game just simply is not fun on consoles, at all.
Battlefield games always have longer engagement ranges than other shooters which is why it has always confused me that it also has by far the weakest aim assist. However, in previous titles, you’ve only been playing against people with the same input deficiencies as you. Now in BF2042 we have cross-play against PC AND 128 player maps that are larger and have even less cover so the engagement ranges are even longer than your typical Battlefield.
All these factors add up to a disastrous experience for console players.
This is a big missed opportunity for EA because a lot of PC players bought consoles recently due to the state of the GPU market. If console actually played well, they’d sell a tonne of $70 copies of the game to ex-PC players.
I think many (like me) are now starting to look at Vanguard and wonder whether that’s a better option since it offers mouse and keyboard support.- @DanielRicciardo Don't think they give a sh*t we have a thread on here since early access day 1 and we have had nothing from them. Don't hold your breath for a reply mate.
- @borroma31 I think console only crossplay should happen. NOBODY wants to play with pc WE just DONT. I'm not holding my breath though it's funny because of this forced crossplay there going to lose so many players why cant they see this. They need to give us a console only crossplay option but bet they won't it's crazy forced crossplay wow
- @Autotitans You have no ideas of who are on PC and who are not that killed you ... So stop pretending anything ... also If anything consoles players in warzone had an advantage against most PC players . And now only High end consoles have crossplay with PC so they are at no real disavantage .. I get killed by consoles and PC players equally
