@VBALL_MVPWhat player base? The game has already lost like 70 percent of it. Besides it's not that hard to unlock attachments. And it's more of a balance issue in the game if the higher unlock guns are much better than the initial guns.
I am complaining because I paid for the game the same as everyone else. Why should my progression be limited in the official AoW mode just because some people decided to farm?
Well you can always play the normal game where you can progress properly.
Lost 70% of the player base? Based on what facts? Steam? Just remember Steam only represents a portion of the player base, unless you have the console numbers (that no one else has) that number is just made up.
There are other ways to level up, allowing people to farm and boost just leads to other complaints of unfairness do to exploits or people complaining they maxed out already and there is no more content. So what do you say to those? Too bad for them? If so basically you are saying "what matters is what is only good for me".
There are other ways to progress, if you choose to do them.
@VBALL_MVPAs of right now, the only way to progress in this game is to play the official AoW multiplayer or featured portal playlists.
You can't play solo/co-op and get full progression even in the official game mode. You can't progress weapons or vehicles or operators at all in custom portal mode including the one posted by the official battlefield twitter.
I just don't understand why you are so against people getting xp just for playing the game. Yeah they shouldn't allow xp farming, so come up with restrictions based on things like AI Difficulty and health modifiers. It's things the community has suggested from day 1 that they just ignore and instead handcuff and destroy a whole game mode because of it.
We can safely assume the player drop on steam lines up with the player drop across all platforms. The player numbers are much higher than just the steam numbers, but the percentages most likely are the same.

Also you can't assume that Steam numbers are the same elsewhere, BF1 and BF4 are proof that console population stayed more consistent while PC dropped.
- DominickB34 years agoSeasoned Ace@VBALL_MVP The xp cap per minute is a joke. The progression stopping after unlocking attachments in solo/co-op is a joke. You can't get ribbons. You can't unlock T1. Yeah you can get a very limited amount of xp, but it's about 1/3 or less of what you'd get over the same amount of time in an AoW game. Hell I'm even okay with keeping the xp cap per minute, but just enable ribbons and weapon progression fully.
Most people that play against the AI aren't doing it to unlock things to brag about. We just don't want to play the buggy mess that multiplayer is. The co-op mode with full progression revived Battlefront 2. I don't understand why Dice decided to nerf the co-op mode in this game so much compared to that.- 4 years ago

You can still play co-op, you can still get weapon attachments and progress your guns, heck you can still progress....what is getting to you is that you can't get an abundance of XP playing other versions of the game. Right now it is not "fast" enough for you and that's your opinion. But again the people who broke it wasn't DICE it was all the people who exploited the situation.
Let's be honest, you like co-op cause you can play against easy AI and go on a rampage getting high kill streaks and guaranteed wins, why should one who plays an easy mode get equally rewarded to someone who plays an more challenging mode? You may not like the current situation, but it is a decent middle ground for being able to play a easy kill mode.
Back in BF4 custom modes didn't give you any progression, so here at least you are getting something.
