Why Solo/Co-Op XP NEEDS fixing ASAP!

The PvE players in Solo / Co-op is not ruining my MP experience, even if they progress faster than me.
I don't really care, and you shouldn't either, here's why.

The majority of PvE players will stay in PvE modes, they are there for a reason, they like the chill vibes.
Maybe a few people would actually go in there for 100 hours to unlock everything... so what? As a MP player I'd have spent those 100 hours having fun in MP, since that is what I enjoy the most.

Personally, I don't really find PvE all that fun, but that doesn't mean that, that playstyle is wrong, and that those who enjoy it should be limited in progression.

Come on folks, why are we, the MP players, so caught up in having it all, and limiting everyone else.

I feel like it's an e-peen thing... Like, "NO! They shouldn't have cool skins from playing single player! 😠 "

Honestly, I wouldn't even mind the XP farms if it wasn't for the fact that the sheer amount of them broke the game so that other people couldn't create legit servers. But to this point I also want to say that I understand that DICE wanted to fix it.

I read the tweet saying the measures taken to combat this was temporary. But I don't get why they had to completely disable progression for the solo players. Portal and solo is 2 completely different modes.

By doing this they are effectively deleting the fun part of the game for a huge part of the playerbase (Yes, the solo/co-op playerbase is probably bigger than you think)
And they need to take this issue seriously and fix it, fast.

3 days counting with an unplayable game for these players is in my eyes unacceptable, it should take priority along with other bugs that prevent people from playing the game entirely.

Until it's fixed, I hope you guys will join us in MP - although it may not be your preferred game mode, give it a chance and come play with us.

And EA..

Please, get to it.

    Hello,

"All experience you earned in Battlefield™ 2042 is universal and shared across all its modes, which means you’ll be leveling up and unlocking new weapons, gadgets, and cosmetics no matter which mode you’re playing."

    This is not valid anymore!

Please create an option for an game refund, because this was changed by EA/DICE after the official refund time was over.

In Solo&Co-Op mode it is not possible anymore to get any masteries for all vehicles or weapons because they are kill based and the kills in the Sol&/Co-Op mode didn't count.

This above advertising sentence and the Solo&Co-Op mode where the main reason to buy this Battlefield 2042 too.

No idea why this is not enabled still. Portal progression is needed if we ever are suppose to play modes like TDM, Rush and tons of other.

Looks like Solo/Co-Op player are second class and Portal player third class.

  • @Murmilloz Solo/coop is a great way for me to practice with a new weapon when I get one...take it in against beginner bots, learn how the gun (or tank, or whatever) handles, and get some kills to get particular unlocks that I'm interested in. Like hybrid sights, for example, those are highly useful on medium-range guns like ARs and LMGs. Then I feel like I can engage in multiplayer AOW a little more effectively.

If DICE wants to lower xp in solo/coop AI--say, for example, if your bots are set to beginner, you get 1/3 xp or something--I'd be OK with that. Right now I can't figure out how the "cap" system works or why I sometimes see +xp numbers and sometimes I don't. Against other human players, like in Portal, we should be getting full kill xp. Portal should not be capping or restricting xp unless bots are involved...but even then, like you said, whether somebody is rank 90 or rank 1, they can still kill me just as fast. All rank means is how much they use their sh!tbucket.

The only reason I bought this game was for the solo mode.

I played the hell out of BF 3 and 4, a bit of Hardline, and skipped 1 and 5 as not a fan of WW 1&2 stuff. Also played a silly amount of MW2019. I'm getting to the age now where I'm getting slower and my patience is getting thinner for just how sweaty people are now, playing like an easter bunny on crack and like theres a multi million jackpot at the end of each match. I'm also not gonna be a fan of Sundance no.247,461,249 swooping out the air and 1 shotting me from nowhere.

Had great fun on day 1 and was relieved the progression in solo mode was really like they said it was, even racking up kills towards the mastery tier 1 weapon camo and character skins.

Then that just stopped dead. Mid match. All because they couldn't see how quickly their own system was going to get completed I assume. Judging by the rest of it, that was probably something else they didn't test too.

Several days now and nothing has been said, the only thing being they reduced the xp, which is fair enough. Make solo need more kills and harder bots or something. But please just add ALL progression back to solo mode. I paid for the game on this promise, and I would like to actually play it.

Oh my God you worded my thoughts perfectly! The solo progression mode was literally the ONLY reason that I bought the game. When I was younger sure I got all sweaty and pounded caffeine all day playing titles like this, but now I'm older, more chill, and while I still have good aim, I'm a little bit slower than I used to be and that's fine. I just want to play vs Bots either solo or with friends and enjoy a non toxic experience. Please bring back what you promised before we bought the game. I mean it was a SELLING point FFS. In most places that's called fraud.
