@lzilchetlI have a strong feeling that disappointed people get loud, while those who are more open are more anticipating to see what we will get.
To be fair, a more up-front, cards on the table approach from EA + Dice on what to expect from the beta would have served both us and them better because now it seems that it has become an US vs. THEM situation in the community - which is hardly the first time - but where some people dig in to prove their position right, and no matter what Dice does, it will never be enough to please everyone. The info on what is left out in the beta that has been release now after the beta, should have been released BEFORE the beta, to avoid unnecessary kneejerk reactions.
Others pushing their negative views have more well formulated and substantiated concerns, yet they have not given the full game a chance because they already KNOW it is "not Battlefield", which is obviously a way of taking ownership of something that is not their to own in the sense that they mean. This attitude is not very helpful, but some seem to think that by trying to convince others how horrible the final game will be, they can somehow force EA & Dice to make the game the way THEY think is right.
Yet others, seem to just making polemic post to feed off diverging opinions and gain backslap XPs for their account. Some more blatantly than others.
Personally I am strongly in the Lets-wait-and-see camp with a huge amount of anticipation, and really doubt I will be disappointed, because my basic expectation is that I will have fun with a new iteration of a game franchise that I have so far already have had about 3300+ hours of fun in.

I introduce new tech for a living, and absolutely know that 50% enjoy the newness and 50% are scared witless by any change. They can't help it, its the way they are built. But in time many come across if the changes are worth their salt and I am sure that will be the case here. But in the meantime you only hear from the defensive ones that don't like the change, thought it would be refreshing to hear a few positive viewpoints.
So, I'm well in the "give it a go" camp!

Yeah (with) every BF game, half of the community opens a window on the 78th floor, goes out onto the ledge and threatens to jump until DICE comes along and talks them back inside.
