The trailer is constructed in the Frostbite engine which is the game engine. But the trailer is not gameplay footage which means the animations and are custom and not how the characters move in the game.
The trailer is constructed like a movie as apposed to edited together from ingame footage. Which means each scene is constructed, then each frame is created, then each frame is individually rendered then they are all put together to make the movie. That's why there is no slowdown and everything looks shiny..
The frostbite engine ingame can look almost as good as the trailers at times for sure. But move over to CoD and you notice how much better the trailers look compared to ingame, it's a big downgrade.
This why people ask about ingame footage because trailers are just trailers.

@ShevermiNExcept for when EA DICE specifically tag the trailer as "Game Engine Footage"
To be clear, I am not disagreeing with you that they may use assets not found in the actual game, but it is all created within Frostbite.
