If there is a season 6, then the development should already be started. It'd take a few months to get enough content for the season, like 2 new maps (if you consdier the current season content with one new map and a reworked map) and some new weapons. But so far DICE have said nothing and it's worrying. If they do end the support after season 5, I guess they won't say anything until the very end of season 5 to not to upset the player base. I really hope they can continue the support though. The live service is doing a great job for each season. The player base is increasing with PS plus and latest steam sale with free play. The game is in a very stable state and they should keep the momentum going till the next BF title. The end of support of BFV was a huge let down. It'd be a shame if EA is making the same decision again.

I'm for a new map, reworked Golmud from BF4 map is just fire.

@bitebullet2142 Honestly with how this games life cycle has been, unsteady player base, always new bugs appearing, and major lack of content. I kinda hope they just end it with season 5, go back and evaluate what they've done wrong to this amazing franchise, forget 2042 happened and start from where they left of BF5s model to start the next game in the series. 2042 will never come close to what past games were and they're not willing to push (or are holding back) to make this a great game. The potential is there but they don't seem to be willing to put the time and resources into this disaster.

I doubt it we get anymore honestly but with all the new players and the game in a better state I dont see why not

@UP_LordPlumber they would have to make that decision very soon. They are still working on the Season 5 map, so if they were planning on S6, they need to have the content to support it, which I don't know they have right now.

I am not saying the game is not in a better place, but for them to allocate resources beyond June is something they have to decide now and unless they have evidence that something like that would be profitable, they probably won't do it.
