Check out this tweet about Windows 11 support https://twitter.com/PartWelsh/status/1433790435814789152
Answering your question:
1) Regarding Windows 10/11
I have no doubts that Windows 11 will be supported by BF 2042 and more than that I think that Microsoft decided to release Windows 11 on the 5th of October ahead of the launch BF2042. It will be a massive boost to install their new OS for the gaming experience. So there will be support of W10, W11. If your hardware is not supported by W11 then no worries you can use W10. W11 will not be mandatory for BF2042 that's for sure cause DICE would lost a lot of players by making W11 mandatory.
2) Regarding Windows 7/8
Doubt that these OS will be supported as BF2042 is DX12 only. There is no such option as DX12killswitch in BF2042 settings as we had in BFV options
- @Fringerunner I'm mostly thinking about TPM as a way to make sure you can use Bitlocker on your machine and the safety it provides. But I guess for anti-cheat it has a use too.

For what it's worth, the beta ran fine on Windows 11.
I have just installed it on windows 11 and it does not run, I am trying to install it on windows 10 and will let you know. I am using steam which tries to log into origin before launching the game. The laptop in windows 11 I am using or tried to use was new 2mths ago and came with windows 11 installed.
- CountSero4 years agoSeasoned Ace@pvalentine65 I have windows 11 installed since the day Microsoft has released it (Late on 4th October).
So, I played the Beta and now the final release of BF2042 with windows 11 and it runs smooth for me. So maybe try to repair your install of BF2042?
If you have installed the EA desktop app you need to close it first before starting it via steam, EA Desktop app is Blocking the Origin Thin Client.
Also, if you not done yet you need to link you steam account with your origin account (If you have more than one Origin account check that you use your right one!)
See you on the Battlefield Thank you I will try it.
tried that made no diff
