This just tells me that the class system is just being tacked on with no real thought process behind it.
- UP_LordPlumber3 years agoSeasoned Ace@NazT55 You haven't seen 3.2 patch notes yet but already making conclusions?
- NazT553 years agoSeasoned Ace@UP_LordPlumber I have as I am not a fan of them bringing a class system to the game.
- @Tank2042Man I'm not sure about that. I feel there are things players have to figure out for themselves.
Also, I think they need to work on spotting in general. - @mrtwotimes Huh? Pre BFV we had one distinct character per class that everyone could recognise but you think the new way is better?
I'm saying I don't think the game should automatically show what an enemy's class is by spotting them (often only seeing them briefly when spotted).
A player should have to observe the enemy and by seeing the enemies actions (i.e., weapons used, actions taken) they would know what specific class they are. I also think all class characters should be able to look however they want because character look shouldn't define class.

By that time you are dead because the other party wont give you all that time to react.
BF2042 is too fast paced to give one time to enjoy the view.
Some specialists are a dead giveaway due to using their gadgets at that time, but the uniforms are hardly ever a telltale sign.
- kregora3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Tank2042Man So technically the class symbols are already there. If I remember correctly when Rao gets shot, the shooter gets spotted, and Rao sees a class symbol over their head.
But when I understood the podcast correctly, the class symbols get a comeback. So then you will be able to differentiate between an Angel when he is using the Caspar skin, and a Caspar. - EA_Atic3 years ago

Would be something new, to have those icons instead of the classic Doriot we had in the past. @Tank2042Man
/Atic Curious about this one, before the limited class skins and lack of cosmetics made it easier to distinguish between the classes on the Battlefield. Personally don't even like the dorito's I guess they are a necessary evil, but they could be implemented better atm just feels like you are spotted 24/7 which is frustrating.
But class icons as dorito's sound good I guess, I don't know how else they would do it. Not sure how this will work on console with most people sitting far from the screen not seeing the difference.
