If you remember, BF4 was in a far worse of a position than 2042 on it's launch. It took a few months to get the major bugs out and even a year or so to build BF4 into what it's become..
BF2042 will be the same, I have no doubt.
- @eiluaq But the core gameplay features were there. 2042 lacks a lot of depth so its not just bugs that are stopping people from playing
