X6 scope reticle changed?!
Why has a red cross been added to the cross hairs on the X6 scope??
Rhe added mil dots are fine but the red cross is distracting. It’s also too thick!

- @creepnpeep Idk why they had to touch optics. The X6 scope isn't the only think they ruined. They messed up the reticle for most dot sights.
I wanted to make thread about it. So yeah, Red cross is too fat, reduce by 50%. Size is okay but line thickness is just way to fat.
Thick reticles make long range sniping a lot harder. Why they have to keep messing stuff up?!
Since they nerfed the 8x, the 6x was the only viable all round option for snipers as it is good for long and short range but alas they've messed it up now. The more this nonsense goes on the more I feel like just going back to BFV full time.
IMO we should have the options to turn mildots off and on and customise reticles, including turning them off. A thin crosshair is all that a lot of people want because it's more effective.
- @RipGroove99 Please Dice, for the love of god, revert the changes or at least let us customize the size, color and shape of the reticles, like bf4 did.
Yeah, this is simply stupid. I don't use the 4x scope because the reticle is too thick, and now this. They also changed the 10x reticle as well, which was also just fine the way it was.
I think they need to question their priorities. How much time was spent changing these reticles, adding descriptive text for the elevator buttons (up/down instead of just interact), and "visual improvements" for the tornado? That was time better spent fixing the problems or doing some basic QA to find things like the mouse issue or the persistence data error.
How am I supposed to hit headshots now with this damn fat reticle?! Do the Devs even play this game seriously or is it all just a laugh to them?
I have not even used any of these and I can understand the problem without even seeing them.

BF1 and BFV will forever be the place to go for people who really enjoy sniping in BF games. The sniping in those games is super crispy and satisfying, sniping in 2042 just feels like stirring a jelly and is so unsatisfying, also the headshot hit box in 2042 seems much bigger, I've been hitting a lot of extremely long range headshots that I know should have missed.
I agree with everyone on here.
at the very least they should have left it as it was.
it was nice, crisp and unintrusive.
it was better how it was, although I can live with the mil dots.
the Red Cross is just unnecessary and makes long range engagements near impossible.
also agree that they should allow us to change reticle design ourselves.
they allow us to do this with the “hip” cross hairs, so why not ADS cross hairs?!
dice, please address this.
it was not an issue and no one was complaining about the way it was.
