Xbox One to Series S/X
I'm struggling with this. I bought a copy on xbox one knowing I would be upgrading to next gen eventually and heard the company would be offering next gen upgrades for free.
Here's one of the many sources suggesting this was the case.
"We realize that for many, next gen hardware is still hard to come by.
We want as many Battlefield fans as possible to start the journey with us on day one, and we want to give those players the peace of mind that their progress carries over if they get a new system this holiday season, or beyond."
I've also seen many articles online, including IGN echoing this free upgrade talk.
Upon further research it seems the dual ownership only applies to next gen copies purchased, not old gen copies.
I'm struggling to believe the company made this decision as it seems unfair, illogical and unnecessarily complicated. Am I understanding this correctly?
Thanks
