Just because OP got killed a lot by such weapon doesn't mean it ruins BT.

@PsubondI see the Metro reference, but i don't see how the solution is good.

Tell me if i'm wrong but the solution On Metro(s) has been to wait until a window of oportunity (your team spam does a breach), smoke and rush with hope... With enough guys jumping with you to saturate the defenders (usually busy reviving themselves) and (mandatory) medics for the infamous medic-revive-train.. You could push. As you had no clue of the state of enemy's line of defense behind the smoke, it was more or less (experience of the map and timings helped) but a gamble.
This involved, rushing blindly in the smoke with the hope of mediocre oponent (works a lot to consider game like this i agree). Really not my cup of tea, i get some players may like it but the gamble part bores me. Sometimes you succed, sometimes you just die on a random grenade...
In a FPS game you have a share of chance and a share you can master and not rely on luck. I don't like when game mechanics bring too much "good or bad luck".
@bitebullet2142What are you talking about ? Game victory stats ??? And, am i wrong when i suspect you don't have those stats?
This thread is not about win / loss ratio, both sides have access to same tools how do you want to have an objective opinion on the subject if you are looking at stats that are not influenced by the problem exposed.
It's how some tools brings changes in gameplay and how rounds are played, final result of the match is another story.
But if you're looking for Dice actions around stats... Well they gave another medpen to assaut when they realise how much damage they had to deal with, and i've seen a vidéo (by DannyonPC, maybe just a rumor) it seems that they gonna sped up the auto regen heath system for eveybody.
I higly doubt this is caused by the new sidearm... MAYBE all those explosions create some problems.

I'll tell it again and again: You may have different experience ingame, or have the same experience than me but like it.
But this is my observation: Irish trophy is not reliable. Sometimes it doesn't stop an explosion because of a bug, saturation of the system (too much explosives simultaneously i supose), or just get out of it's own ammos. And you can't bring evrywhere, it's not immune to direct bullet fire, etc. etc.
For me, "use Irish" is not a solution, and i did try before posting here thanks.
It had the advantage to reduce the overall spam impression but now it is submerged. The actual "solution" being to have an absurd percantage of Irish in your team doesn't sound as a good game for me.
The elephant has grown too big and Irish trophy can no longer hide it. You may like it, but saying it doesn't exist seems quite funny.

@l_Grand_Vizir_lThat you are just blowing it out of proportion. I played 4 rounds of BT on the new map this morning and do you know how many times I was killed with each? 1 time from each. In fact, I don't think I have been killed by those two weapons on the new map and BT only a hand full of times. You act like it happens to you over and over and over. And if your team is all in one spot then and it keeps happening to them over and over and over then that is a horrible team.
I keep dying from snipers on the hills so I think they should nerf the sniper rifles or better yet flatten the hills.
- 3 years ago@l_Grand_Vizir_l not all maps are grenade spam meatgrinders. most of the maps are wide open areas that basically render explosives a novelty if you aren't in a vehicle

@Psubond I totally agree on your point about map design.
Breakthrough is designed to create high density combats. Unless you don't play the objectives you have to go in those smaller areas.
I pretty sure the problem is far less revelant in Conquest.
But actually i would say between half and 2/3 rd of the map pool become unplayable if you have more than 4 Zain in a 32 players team. When they start focusing on the guys fighting on the flag... ouch.
Add the usual hand grenades, some SPH shots, our friend the 30mm canon.... The concentration turn mad.
Vehicules bring a lot in this game, and even if i'm not a fan of the heavy weaponry transports get in this BF2042, those vehicules are heavy and fighting them is different than looking for a hidden soldier behind cover with a spam grenade launcher. It was only Zain now all assaut have one with the SPH.
I mean let destroy this game more and give snipers the BFBC2 mortar strike, and the UCAV to supports... (Please no ! 😉 )
You're talking about a few rounds this morning, i'm talking about a tendency since Zain's launch.
You say you didn't get hit? Yea i can do it too, staying at least 40m away from capture zone and the sky turns blue. I mean, you pretend i blow out of proportion but you do exactly the same and bring nothing real here.
Obviously we have different opinion, but seing how you started by trolling and now by noncense, i' afraid we can't have an adult discussion and i'll just ignore your coments. But please show me i'm wrong by adding a little substance in your messages.
