Yall really didnt like BFV?
This is the biggest surprise I have gotten comming to these forums. Out side of crashes my only gripe with BFV at launch was the ammo/health crates not showing on the maps when they got dropped.

@Flavin913Different strokes for different folks I guess. I enjoyed BFV for the most part but did have quite a few issues with it originally, such as the poor visibility and the endless animations etc. Mostly though I just enjoy BF1 and BF4 more and will play those much more frequently than BFV (I also only fly in V too).
I must admit I enjoyed all three, BFV / BF1 and BF4.
Personally I loved the 4 Pacific maps in BFV they were definitely the highlight for me.
One of the negatives for me in BFV was the introduction of the elites some like Wilhelm were a bit cheesy, he looked like he had just walked off the stage in Phantom of the Opera. 🙂
The whole trench warfare setting in BF1 was really well done and they captured that era really well imho.
Really enjoyed BF4 / 3 and all the earlier ones too.
I wish I had a pound for every hour I have spent on the BF franchise, I would be a very rich man indeed. 😃

@RayD_O1 Same here. I think a lot of us would love to have a pound for every hour!
The elites were a bit of an issue too as some of them, like Wilhelm and Hannah, were very cartoony. Not forgetting Captain Bird's-eye either of course. I think they were going in the right direction with the Pacific and it's a bit of a shame that we didn't get an Eastern Front, that would have been good in theory too.
The trench warfare and the whole atmosphere of BF1 is, I think why I enjoy it so much and I'd agree that Dice did a really good job of capturing that.
I didn't like BFV at first because of the whole WW2 setting but technically speaking it's a very good game because the graphics are stunning when maxxed out, the gunplay is super sharp, the flying is spot on for the most part, the other vehicles are well balanced, the maps are perfectly sized and it has all the features you'd expect in a BF game. Yes it could have done with more content and finishing off properly and yes it is missing a few things but nevertheless it's still more feature and mechanic packed than 2042. BFV could be the last true BF game because it has none of this new age nonsense like cross play, forced matchmaking, specialists etc etc etc Personally I'm still happy now playing BFV for the foreseeable future.
I also didn't like BF1 at first because of the setting but I did start to warm up to it again because it's 100x the game 2042 is. When I hit level 500 in BFV I'll probably get back into BF1.
BF1 was imo the last BF game where the Devs really seemed to care about the game completely, they understood the assignment and absolutely smashed it, they tried some controversial things with BFV like SBMM and the whole TTK rubbish but the community pretty much made them revert it all because no one wanted it. Sadly 2042 kicked off right away with an absolute ton of things that no one wanted so it was doomed from the start, they clearly decided to take the franchise in a new direction completely ignoring the tried and tested user feedback generated core BF game and it has completely backfired on them.
Will 2042 ever be 'fixed' enough to be a true BF game? imo no because it's core is too far off script to be fixed. Will the next BF return to the classic format everyone liked? Maybe, but if it isn't then the franchise may as well just be shut down.
For these reasons BFV will always have a strong following IMO.
