You See..
This is the state the game shoul`ve released in. This many maps and weapons, the combat and all. You would`ve dominated the whole fps genre if you were to give us this exact game when it first came o...
@NutcrusherrServer browser would be a mistake because some maps and game modes would never get played again. This is was what happened in all the previous BFs. Just look at Portal and how little variety there is even there. When it comes to matchmaking for the main game, ditching a server browser was absolutely the sensible move and it all goes back to lessons in behavioral economics.

that has to be the worst take i've read (and that's saying a LOT)
don't let them pick what they want to play because then they will play what they like and not play what they don't like
man i hope you never get in a position of power for anything
@PsubondFacts don't care about your feelings. I'm all for free choice and that's great to strive for; that doesn't make it good policy in every scenario.
Examples of modes that completely died in BF4: Obliteration and Carrier Assault. Maps that no one played: Altai Range, Dragon Pass, Guilin Peaks, Giants of Karelia, Lancang Dam, Nansha Strike.
Take an econ course just once in your life.

i've taken a few courses. and your "facts don't care about your feelings" line you stole from ben shapiro desn't apply here.
a game that isn't fun to play and that forces you to play * maps (that you hate) over and over isn't more likely to retain players than being able to choose what you play.
Just lol...
You're solution is to force players to play thinks they do not like...
Dice already did this choice and most of the playerbase has left.
But still you think it's a good idea ?
Server browser AND map rotation on servers are the good way.
