I would also just like to add that while EAC seems to be the root cause it only does this with Battlefield 2042, other games that use EAC such as Apex launch and play just fine.

FIgured I would just update anyone who sees this thread,
I managed to 'Fix' or atleast patch the issue by disabling my Sata Controller in my bios (unplugging sata drives works as well) every time I want to play the game. Once I do that it now launches no problem.
The fact that this is an issue is absolutely laughable and a joke. Im not impressed at having to jump through hoops to play the game I spent my money on to enjoy.
Hopefully someone else finds this useful and can use it to now play the game.- EA_Leeuw3 years ago

Hey @CrackConnolsseur,
Thanks for the update! Glad to read that you managed to fix the issue.
It's indeed a bit of a weird fix, as you say yourself. However, I would not be surprised that it's driver related and that you mitigate the issue by disabling the Controller in your BIOS.
Have you checked if there's a new BIOS update available for your Motherboard, by any chance?- 3 years ago@EA_Leeuw Yeah mate, I have quite literally done everything. When this first happened one of the first things I did was update my bios, I also backdated it 2 - 3 versions and they all had the exact same issue.
