8000hz Mouse Polling rate

Is anybody else having issues with some mice and 8000hz polling rate? I have two Corsair mice. My m65 has a polling rate of 1000hz and it behaves normally, but my newer Corsair Sabre RGB Pro supports an 8000hz polling rate and the game isn't handling that well at all. At 8000hz looking around feels floaty and laggy. The best descrption I can give it is it's like using one of those old golf arcade machines and spinning that huge trackball to wind up a shot or something. Looking around just drifts too far in every direction and isn't concise at all.  I've tried turning off and on Raw Mouse Input and tweaking various sensitivity settings. The only thing that fixes it is to lower the polling rate to 500 - 1000 on the new mouse.
