add friend option is missing

Summarize your bug I'm trying to add my friend to my friend list. He is playing the game on an Xbox Series S and I can find him by searching for his ID, but when I'm mouseover his name, no add option appears. I'm able to add other players from different platforms, but adding him is not possible. What can we do?
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to add "IT4N6 GER" to a PC friend list...
What happens when the bug occurs? The option to add the player to the list by pressing the left mouse button does not appear. Clicking anyway, doesn't solve the problem.
What should be happening instead? Adding the player should be possible.
Some more information:
He first installed on an XBox One S, but because we can not play together on the different platforms (PC<->Xbox One) he bought an Series S.
As his installation on the One S, I was not able to even find him in the player search. Now with his Series S installation, I'm able to find him, but I'm not able to add him....
