Hey guys, i maybe ((MAYBE)) found a solution for this :D what i did was unninstall my gpu driver with DDU and reinstall the same driver after, but i have checked the option (RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULTS)
I don't know why. its sounds like bull****, but it woks.

The Alt TAB is an issue too, The game doesn't keep its settings
eg I'm testing Medium Preset on a Ryzen 1700-3700X - 16GB dual Channel memory - single GTX 1070 1080P at 60HZ VSync ON.
Profile settings are included in the attached text file ( take note these are without the key bindings!!! )
Many here won't believe it but the game is nearly all of the time rocksteady at 60FPS with 64 player. VRam usage is +/-4GB according the drawgraph
But when I press ALT TAB to go eg quickly to the desktop I come back and I see 90FPS ????? Like what happened?
Also when I close the game I fire it up again it always takes the native resolution of my screen even though I saved 1080P setting it goes to 4K by itself...
Now since most users plagued by battlefield in general are AMD users, maybe this could help a bit
If I take my 5950X as an example; my ASUS Crosshair board sets on AUTO 1.45VCore voltage, this makes the CPU already over 50°C in Bios
If you manually set eg 1.3Vcore this drops temps to 36°C in the bios , okay the CPU might not boosts as high but it remains stable at lower clocks without any thermal issues.
Is there going to be a fix for this anytime soon! The stuttering is crazy and the fps dips indoors are unbearable I go from 70-80fps down to 40 on Rtx 3080 and Intel i712700 and ddr5 ram.
Last update from me on this thread, it's unbearable at this point, totally unplayable, opened the game 10 minutes ago to try and play the weekly missions and if found out that my frames are even lower than normal now ( 30 to 40 ) .... was fine a day ago ... I'm done playing until the next update.
Still barely playable with this problem. Changing settings, even dropping settings down and changing DLSS to "performance" so the game looks like a blurry mess you can't even see doesn't seem to have a notable impact on performance.
Trying to play the game when it's constantly jumping between the 30's and 50's when anything is happening on screen is beyond frustrating and miserable. Hope the tech team can find the causes and sort out this mess soon, because there's just no reason to play the game while it runs like garbage.
Since I first posted in this thread, the game has actually remained pretty playable for me...
I haven't messed with any settings/configs etc since dropping from Ultra to High - and try to remember not to Alt-Tab out too (that sometimes causes an outright crash anyway...) - and so far it's been okay since.
It still doesn't look/feel 100% right, I sometimes get random drops but it does recover now, weird that it seems to have settled for me as I can see many in this thread are still having a 'mare.
I suppose the reason for my post today is just to say:
Drop your settings down a level, don't ALT-TAB and don't try any 'fixes' people post here coz this is on DICE to fix!
Hello .... Once again xD, this time I bring you what I believe is a pretty sold fix (at least for me), I believe I have found a fix that gave me +20 and even 30 fps sometimes + very solid CONSTANT FPS, what I did was install the latest Nvidia Hotfix driver 516.79, remove the cache folder and then play the game for a couple of hours (until the cache folder size gains a bit of weight ), then I uninstalled the driver using DDU, and then I installed the 512.95 Nvidia driver from May 24, 2022, and then play the game again (without removing or clearing the cache folder ) and voila! my fps is pretty solid now, I get 65 fps in the main menu, and ingame it starts a bit rough then I get high 70 and 80 ingame ... I can't guarantee that this will work for everyone, but after 2 weeks or tweaks this really did work for me.
I dont know what DICE did(if they), but i've played 4 maps today and i had the same performance like before 1.1 . Over 100fps avg, no stutters, i can finally play the game lol.
@FantasyFiR3 idk honestly, i just went and try the game if something has changed and was suprised the game had no performance issues, strange since day before it was unplayable
I was playing on Discarded. Ping was always stable at 10ms. About 5 minutes into the game, the FPS dropped to half. After about 5 minutes later it went back to normal. No idea what happened there.
So, in my observation the performance drops The performance begins to drop after the first round when the top three player show off starts.
And it getting worth with every game you play.
I assume that there is a bit memory leak if you play for several hours (somewhat round 3+h) the performance is horrible and at some point, you get graphic issues like wrong shadows or lights are not correct or huge delays with textures loading etc.
Since 1.1.0 they have brought back issues which were already fixed, seems to me that someone has used. Also, if the twister shows up it kills sometimes everything at performance.
And the best is my CPU and GPU are only used at around 60% (+- 5%)
@CountSero Lag starts to occurs when it starts to use shared GPU memory. My observation is when dedicated GPU memory drops to 6GB and shared GPU memory increases to 2GB, the frame rate drops.
Do you happen to know what causes the stutter on most maps?
do you have any idea why when for example I go inside stadium my fps drops from 70-80 at 4k dlls off on high settings to like 45. Seems to be an issue whenever I go indoors on the game.
@NightHawkk1997 yes you right fps drops are at generally indoors area like exposure inside mountain area, tunnels and some base buildings inside. Also like you said doha stadium. I was getting avarage 75-80fps before patch at 4k all sets ultra dlls quality but after update1.1 fps drops even 16 when heavy fighting inside locations like exposure
i cannot understand what the issue is though as some buildings are totally fine or even have more detail than the one fps dropping. i am assuming its something to do with the light. but even with turning AO off i get the same issue. i am running a 3080 as well!
Final FINAL update :') .... , nothing works, if there's a fix it'll work for a round or two, then tomorrow you boot up the game and it's the same *... i am truly DONE, 1.2 shall be our savior (hopefully), although, from all of the fixes I tried, just one really fixed it but it's a hassle, and that is to install your GPU drivers EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THE GAME ... yes you heard me right, reinstalling the GPU drivers every time u open 2042 fixes it, then you'll have to do it again if you close the game xD.
That's freaking nuts , I guess your software install has more issues and it is not just battlefield....
I'm completely lost as I can't reproduce this: I've had 5 installs running on 2 intel CPUs: 9900K and 11900K and 3 on AMD platform: 1700x, 3700x and a 5950X, All based on Nvidia GPUs ranging from 980Ti, GTX 1070 to 3090Ti.... all besides the 980Ti ran pretty smooth and a surprisingly a rocksteady 60FPs for the 1070 card...
With the GTX 1070 it was 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz Medium Preset, Vsync on... card goes up to 75-80FPS 3080-3090 are 3440 x1440 High Preset at 165HZ Vsync off , cards go up to 125-165FPS depending on the map.
If you want my settings of the 1070 setup check the post at Page 27
!! Not a single patch note about performance in the 1.2 patch notes... i really really hope they fixed the performance.
