Cleared cache, repaired game and still crashed. 3 guys in my squad crashed the same time on 2 different maps. Character lags for about 2 seconds and then straight to desktop.
- @Banester I keep getting the same crash. I have found through event view that this pops up along with:
File System Filter 'EAAntiCheat' (Version 10.0, 2024-09-05T21:24:14.000000000Z) unloaded successfully.
File System Filter 'EAAntiCheat' (10.0, 2024-09-05T21:24:14.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager.
So Im going to say there is a problem with their Anti Cheat. I have repaired system and it does not help. - AntiCheatWard2 years ago

@JollyJester
That message is unrelated - EA anticheat is successfully unloading when the game is gone, even if it crashes. This is to ensure we're not running when the game isn't, as part of our promise to not run the kernel anticheat when you're not playing our games.
I can confirm 100% your game is crashing, I've already pasted the corresponding callstacks to DICE for them to investigate further. - @Rokebo73 I tried repairing with steam and when that didn't work I just uninstalled the game.
I used up the disk space for something else in the meantime.
I might try again at a later date if they release a patch or whatever. - BikemanAMD2 years agoSeasoned Newcomer
Hello All
Noticed mine has been crashing to Desktop suddenly as well, No idea what the cause is, this is a relatively fresh build of Windows 11 Pro 23H2 on an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X with Radeon 7800XT 16GB Video Card, with latest AMD Radeon Drivers installed (24.8.1)
Deleting Battlefield 2042 Cache did not solve the issue--Still crashed to Desktop when i reloaded in afterwards
Play on EA App, latest version i believe as well
**I can try a Display Driver Uninstaller and Reinstall of The Video drivers if need be**
**Have not done a Repair on the Game thru EA App as yet**
Deleted the cache as stated in earlier post seems to have fixed the issue for me.
Tried deleting the catch in the appdata folder as mentioned earlier, did not help, still crashes every other game.

Also reporting with random crashes after the latest update. I get no error message and nothing in Event Viewer.
I see that crash dump file is generated in Documents 2042 subfolder, if this is something that is helpful we can upload it?

Update EA anticheat to see if that resolves the issue. I have not have any issue after that so far
