I have a similar issue since the past days.
My CPU is doing fine, my Ryujin II 360 shows me everything I need.
Then, when I launch BFV, I loose the CPU temp and the MB temp in my Ryujin II : first it froze and then, when I open up Armory Crate, it shows "//" for the CPU temp and "N/A" for the MB temp.
This issue only showed up a few days ago, after I made some updates on Armory Crate and ICUE.
Thanksfully, my PC does not BSOD because I saw the increased temps via the integrated reading CPU temp on the MB, so I ended BFV.
I tried to reinstall Armory Crate and ICUE, same issue.
I just did a fresh Windows install and then installed Armory Crate and ICUE, same issue.
My BIOS is up to date.

@skyTusx2 Thanks for additional datapoint. A workaround is to force cooler profile to be 100% all time regardless of CPU temp. Very annoying and hopefully EA can validate internally and provide an update.

No, it is very likely that the new EA Anti-cheat breaks ASUS component.
I have shown you many clues (including datapoint from @skyTusx2 ) where the problem ONLY HAPPENS after I launched Battlefield. See attached screenshot. The timestamp is when BF2042 is launched.
Again, the machine&temp reporting&FAN adjustment work absolutely fine in day to day work. Also, there was no issue before the recent EA update.
This is basic troubleshooting skills - the root cause is clearly linked to EA Anti-cheat based on what I mentioned above.
Please escalate to your EA engineering team for review.
