A workaround that has been working for me is openning the task manager (ctrl + shift + esc) and entering the tab Details before launching. Then, right after the launch, I close the first BF2042 process that appears in the Details tab. A second process is issued a few seconds after the first (it seems like the EA app is really launching the game twice). You must be reasonably fast to close the first process before the second one detects it.
Are you guys using the trail version by any chance? Cause this is the version I'm using right now, and it is doing that launching the game twice thing. It seems it could be trying to launch the paid version and trial verison at the same time. However, in addition to this problem I also receive this error (Untrusted file system C:\Windows\System32\ws2_32.dll). Anyone else getting this error, or something like it that's preventing the game from launching?
Dans mon cas je dois fermer EasyCheat qui demarre aussi 2 fois, je ne vois pas Battlefield dans le task manager, juste Easy Cheat.
