"Another launcher is already running"Hello everyone,I've been trying to launch Battlefield2042 today. I keep getting this message "Another launcher is already running" (Screenshots provided). It's an issue with the EasyAntiCheat. I tried the suggestions on their website but was unsuccessful. Here is the rundown of what I tried so far:- Closed EasyAntiCheat processes through Task Manager- Restarted PC- Repaired Battlefield2042- Checked for Windows update- Repaired EasyAntiCheat and reinstalled it- Cleared cache- Reinstalled Origin- Reinstalled the game- Installed EA desktop didn't workIf anyone has any ideas on what to try next please let me know, thank you!

A workaround that has been working for me is openning the task manager (ctrl + shift + esc) and entering the tab Details before launching. Then, right after the launch, I close the first BF2042 process that appears in the Details tab. A second process is issued a few seconds after the first (it seems like the EA app is really launching the game twice). You must be reasonably fast to close the first process before the second one detects it.

I was able to fix this by using Add/Remove Programs to uninstall Razer Synapse that was sneakily hiding on my computer from way back when.

@SillyOldJack I attempted this and unfortunately same result. I appreciate the suggestion though.

Are you guys using the trail version by any chance? Cause this is the version I'm using right now, and it is doing that launching the game twice thing. It seems it could be trying to launch the paid version and trial verison at the same time. However, in addition to this problem I also receive this error (Untrusted file system C:\Windows\System32\ws2_32.dll). Anyone else getting this error, or something like it that's preventing the game from launching?

Same issue here. I will try the task manager trick ... hope they sort this out, very annoying

since today i have the same issue (patch 3.1). "another launsher is startet already."
normaly the game was running everytime fine.
now it start twice. and i cant figure it out how to close one of it fast enough.
deeinstalled it
cleaned everything with cc and manualy with reggedit
pc reebot
installed it new
tryed ea launsher (same problem as with origin)
tryed to start it with the BF2042_launcher.exe and with the bf2042.exe (same problem)
repaired easy anti cheat
nothing work. wastet hours after my work for nothing

Hi!
I tried everything that was suggested.
included checking if EAC was already running.
Started the game from a fresh session too.
application error 0xc0000142 shows up eventually after failing multiple times at starting.
Please resolve this issue.

If you're experiencing the "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application, Untrusted system file: Windows\System32\dbgcore.dll" or other "Untrusted system file" errors, it indicates that a system DLL is blocked from loading because it was detected to have been modified. This means that the original system DLL contains some foreign injected code that cannot be allowed into the game process memory space. To resolve the system DLL related errors, use Windows Update. An update to the latest Windows version should resolve the issue.
