I know this is an old thread but this has been happening to me since last update.
@Dana8610I have narrowed down the (or a?) cause a bit instead of a general 'it disappears' to it being between changes in sectors. Here's the thread I posted the details on. See if it matches your experience.

I've noticed that too, but it doesn't happen all the time. Even if I wait when the sector is open for enemies, they sometimes disappear too. I can be standing right next to them, there's no one around to take them, and they don't explode. Just...poof. :D
So, I played again last night. I was on Manifest, last objective. I purposely waited about 30 seconds after the sector opened to enemies, stood by the mines. They disappeared one by one in the order I placed them down.
When I used the mines in the rest of the match, some disappeared and some stayed. I'd really love to know the cause, since it's so random.
So I thought the new season would fix this, but it's still happening. It's really annoying, I waste them and need to hunt for an ammo crate, which usually isn't anywhere lol.
