Battlefield 1 AMD driver error

Outside the suggestion to run the AMD cleanup tool (which has bricked my computer once so I refuse to run it again) has EA worked on solving the issue with their launcher not recognizing newer gfx cards?  I ran into a similar issue with Red Dead Redemption 2 and the Rockstar support was very helpful and resolved the issue by adding a few lines to the games .ini file.  Apart from that game I have had no issues with my setup in any other games than the EA launcher ones.

    went to the bios and disabled the iGPU, turns out that fixed it :)  Thanks for all your input, much appreciated :D

    and as you can see my driver version is a fair bit newer than the required 16.20.1025

    Please list your CPU model. Driver version 0.0.0 error might be caused by the game using the iGPU inside the CPU, instead of using the 7900 XTX. Knowing your CPU model will help verify if the CPU has an iGPU.

    my CPU is a Ryzeb 5 7600X which does have an iGPU, but I have disabled it in the device manager:

    went to the bios and disabled the iGPU, turns out that fixed it :)  Thanks for all your input, much appreciated :D
