Battlefield 2024 Black Screen & Freeze at Stand By Screen (Potential Fix!)

Hello battlefield 2042 player!

If you are struggling with the error that the game freezes at the "Stand by" loading screen, or the screen turns black when you exit to the lobby, then you are in the right place!

These are potential fixes, it may not work for everyone.

Black screen when you exit to the lobby :

• The black screen error occurs when you want to exit the lobby because your dekstop resolution and the game resolution is the same. For example : your dekstop resolution is 1600x1024
• And your game resolution also 1600x1024, then the black screen will appear. To eliminate this error, take your game resolution down for example : to 1600x900, and then test the game. If the error is still persist, please write down in the post.

Game freeze at the "Standy by" loading screen :

• There can be many reasons for this error, this is a potantial fix, it may not work for everyone.

Follow the instructions below!

1. Close origin & restart battlefield.

2. Verify the integrity of the game file via steam or origin

3. Turn off dep (data execution prevention) -> 1. Select start, and right-click computer. 2. Under tasks, select advanced system settings. 3. In the system properties window, in the advanced tab, in the performance section, select settings. 4. In the performance options window, select data execution prevention tab. 5. Turn off data execution prevention.

4. Update your nvidia / amd gpu driver.

5. Update your drivers using steam game booster (very important) this updates all of your driver, gpu, chipset, game drivers etc...

6. Delete battlefield 2042 cache. File explorer -> documents -> battlefield 2042 -> cache.

7. If there is a windows update, update it.

8. Flush dns. Open cmd as administrator, and type ipconfig /flushdns.

9. User account management setup. Open win 10/11 search and type  user account management setup, and drag the slider to the bottom.

10. Sfc cmd. Open cmd as administrator and type sfc /scannow this will automatically fix the corrupt files on your windows system.

11. Antivirus. If you have have any antivirus other than basic windows antivirus, delete it.

12. Antivirus 2.0. Add battlefield2042.Exe to windows antivirus.

13. Fullscreen optimization & high dpi settings. Right click on battlefield 2042, properties, and turn on disable full screen optimization then click on modify high dpi settings and check the bottom box.
