Battlefield 2024 not starting

since 5th september 2025 I cannot start the game via Steam or EA.

It last worked on the 4th september 2025.

Steps:

I click on start game via Steam

loggin to EA happens

small loading screen for BF2042 is coming up and loading to 100%

a window is opening (bf.exe)

5 seconds

error message

already tried:

reinstalled the game, did not help

started as admin, did not help.

checked lokal data via steam, did not help.
