Battlefield 2042 - < 5 FPS on High Performance Hardware

Question. Do you by any chance have ASUS Armoury Crate installed?

     Good call, I don't believe I have any CPU or GPU overclocks, but I'll have to check. Typically I disable overclocking my CPU since it can cause instability.

    As for ASUS Armoury Crate, I've never heard of it. Should I install it?

      @X-RayCAS no do not install, its known for issues with bf2042 at this moment !
      There are still some bios updates for better performance and stability!
      Did ya check windows health ?
      Also make sure that connected hardware (by usb for example) is not an issue !
      Sometimes hardware settings , for mouse/game controllers ect ect ect can be an issues, lower polling rate for example, or disable software for this haredware temporarly.

      Do ya still got issues ? (any overlay active ?)

        I believe I've been able to determine the cause of the issue. 

        When I disconnect all additional monitors from my PC the issue seems to go away. I'm not sure why having these monitors connected make a difference. There is nothing on the additional monitors, and they are powered off at the time of recording the issue. 

        Disconnecting them from my graphics card does seem to resolve the issue.
