Battlefield 2042 128 player lag

Hello. I have bf2042 and have had no trouble playing 64 player on high graphics with my cpu, however when i play 128 players i get a good deal of lag. Even when i lower the settings to Low there is no effect. My cpu maxes out in task manager on  64 players but there is no lag. I cant tell if its server lag or my cpu is overwhelmed. 

i have an intel core i5-9400f 2.90 ghz
