Battlefield 2042 black screen after splash screen

Every time I launch BF2042 I get the splash screen that says the season and then it loads and then it windows a small black screen and then it goes full screen and stays black until i close the app. I've tried verifying, allowing it through my firewall, changing the language, buying the game on steam, uninstalled from the ea app and steam about 10 times, have changed security settings, have tried different drives, and I've put it on performance. Still getting the same black screen.
