Battlefield 2042 Crashing with high end PC

    @boomdelakaka  Could you try the following: Putting everything to ultra except terrain and add it as high and see if that helps.

I have been dealing with the crash on my 3080ti for the whole year. Until I upgraded to 4090, all issues are solved. Please use MSI afterburn to underclock your GPU core for -100~200 mhz, and that will solve the issue temporarily. The issue is caused by unstable voltage. Same issue happens on Metro Exodus. @Bakerestic is there an option for this underclock setting to be only applied to battlefield 2042? as I want my full clock for my other games.

    @boomdelakaka For the 3070 you dont need to underclock, its the 40xx series who got nvidia/game/windows issues !!!
    Can you tell me what memory you got , also the part number please !

      @Rokebo73 I realize this is an older thread, but this is definitely a problem for 30 series cards (I have a 3080). On two different occasions after (after season 3 update and now, season 5 update) my game would just continually crash during the intro loading screen and just before making it to the main menu. I was not able to nail down the EXACT issue but when I lowered my base CPU clock from 4.5ghz to 4 and turned OFF A-XMP, I was able to get it running. Which is pretty much unacceptable as far as I'm concerned.

        @Older_Than_Avg Yeah i use 3080 to, weird behaviour in season 5 with the game some how !
        PS is the mem compatible with youre CPU ? is it in the QVL ?

    @boomdelakaka unfortunately, there is no kind of "auto switch on/off" option in MSI afterburner, but you can save the setting and manually switch and it is extremely easy.
