Battlefield 2042 Freezes At Stand By Loading Screen

Hello!

I would ask for help, I am playing Battlefield 2042 and after 2-3 games the game freezes at the Stand By loading screen and I can't do anything with it, I tried every solution but unfortunately I didn't get much.

Here is some Information :

PC SPEC :
I7-7700k
ASUS ROG STRIX RX 580 8 GB OC Edition
16 GB RAM 2400Mhz
500 GB SSD

What I have tried to do so far :

Re-Installing Battlefield 2042
Repair via Origin
Checked If new Windows Update is available
Checked If New Driver is available.
Full Windows Reset
Re-Installing GPU Drivers

I looked at the  Crash Dump and I conclude that it will be a corrupt memory error.

PROCESS NAME BF2042.exe

ERROR CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The following opeartion cannot be performed on the memory area referred to by instruction at adress.

SYMBOL NAME: memory_corruption!BF2042.exe

FAILURE BUCKET ID: MEMORY_CORRUPTION_LARGE_256_c0000005_memory_corruption!BF2042.exe

IMAGE NAME: memory corruption

MODULE NAME: memory corruption

FAILURE ID HASH: {39839b07-45dd-00df-7031-f8e9ce57ef35}

Thanks for the answer & help!

  • Hey, @Freestyle1992  can you try a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with Battlefield 2042 and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.

Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

Do you run the ram in Dual mode (a1 b1)?

Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂

  • I have the same issue, pls did you find a fix for MEMORY_CORRUPTION_LARGE_256_c0000005_memory_corruption!

  • @deathsh00t107 @Freestyle1992 @Billy_Comforto Hmm , this can be caused by different things !. Always repair / verify youre game first.

Then reboot pc by a cleanboot: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd

    Check your windows for error.
Press Windows key + R  , enter the command CMD at run , hold down ctrl+shift and press Enter to run it as administrator.
Use the following command lines, pressing Enter after each (make sure you wait till each of the commands is executed properly).
    sfc /scannow
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Reboot pc after errors.

    Check youre  ssd/hdd/m2 drive.

Press Windows Key + R , enter the command CMD at run , hold down ctrl+shift and press Enter to run it as administrator.
Typ in next command:> chkdsk /r /f  and press enter.
Reboot your system , this will do a check at your drive, do NOT  press any key, wait till check starts.

Be aware this check can last for 1 a 2 hours, depends at speed / size drive !!!

You could also check your ram for issues.
This can be done with the program PRIME95 , download and instructions at https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/game/guides/hardware/

or you could use the program MEMTEST6https://www.techpowerup.com/memtest64/

And of course MEMTEST86 <-- advised, so there is no issues with programs (windows/apps ect ect ect) https://www.memtest86.com/

Please let us know what it did for you !

PS its also possible  drivers / Windows need to be updated !!
