Also disable Nvidia Geforce Experience overlay. So when you start up the game it freezes instantly? Can you go into settings? If you can make sure you lower your graphic settings, Motion blur = 0, Chromatic aberration = off, Vignette = off, DLSS = off, Future frame rendering = off, Vertical sync = off. If graphic settings are on ultra lower them to high, set Effects quality = Medium, Post process quality = Medium, Anti Aliasing Post processing = TAA LOW, Ambiant Occlusion = off.
Disable HDR = Go to C:\Users\<YourUsername>\Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings\ , Locate the file named PROFSAVE_profile, Right-click on PROFSAVE_profile and select Open with Notepad, Search for the line containing "GstRender.Hdr" (you can use Ctrl + F to find it) Change the value to 0 so that it reads: GstRender.Hdr 0. Given that bf2042 is the only game that crashes, and crashes happen at launch or during graphics heavy scenes, the issue is very likely grafics related. The overlays (very important that you disable them) can cause crashes or instability because they inject code into the game process to display things like fps, notifications, or recording tools.
The game still looks crisp and will feel way smoother, well in your case, you will be able to play the game : ) Don't think about the other games running well, i had the same issue, bf2042 is the only game that crashed and i had GPU hang issues.
What's your GPU? Be sure to let know if any of this helped. We will fix this ; )
