  • @Darqul Seems like this is a Nvidia DLSS issue.
    Turning it off made the error go away.

    Playing at 4k resolution btw

    @Darqul

    Reducing in-game graphics quality settings will use less GPU memory and should prevent this.

    Additional troubleshooting steps:

    Thanks.

    I've disabled efficiency cores in BIOS.

    For now, this seems to have fixed this GPU memory allocation issue.

    But I will continue to monitor the situation.

    But disabling efficiency cores can't be a permanent solution.

    I can't and won't disable efficiency cores every time I'd like to play the game.

    Also I had 0 issues playing on a xeon e3-1275v5 (4 core) and a 1080 gtx with 8GB GPU RAM.

    But I do on this 32 core 8 performance 16 efficiency (8HT=16) i9-14900k and a 4070 rtx with 12GB RAM.

    Same all Ultra graphics settings.

    This performance and efficiency cores distinction is causing issues.

    I blame Intel but also Dice who can't handle this

    My next system in 8 years will be 100% AMD and no Asus.

    And seeing the way the Battlefield franchise is going, I'm not happy with the CoDification of it. This game has some of the worst maps.

    I also very much hate the constant in game advertising and cash shop.

    You're greedy but you're not delivering a quality product.

    Yeah I'm frustrated that I have to treat BF2042 like a special snowflake.

    sfc /scannow of course did nothing, because it's not a Windows context issue but the game files.

    Oh and BTW, we were about to win the Rush mega xl or whatever it's called match, when I get kicked back to the game menu.

    ....

    ....

    * that *!

  • Now BSOD again

    Unexpected Kernel mode trap

    * this piece of * game.

    I want a refund.

    @FoFader  make sure ya got turbo limits enabled.
    If that doesnt fix it , then manual set cpu hz lower by 100 a 200 hz or undervolt by fixed vcore settings..

    13th and 14th gen intel cpu (some batch) are known for this problem and default motherboard settings.
    Intel is investigating this issue with those cpu's !

    Cheers
