I did a little check / investigation !
It seems our Dev's locked cpu cores ammount to a minimum of 8.
User file still works , but you cannot go below the minimum of 8 cores anymore!
Maybe the try to keep a minimum of performance for systems that are not in the "low end"!I did also try the Render.ForceDx11 1
But this will crash BF2042 (probarly works only for consoles !)
BF2042 is made in/for dx12 at PC!Also did the command: RenderDevice.UseReserverdJobThreads
But also this did not change in ammount of cpu cores !Im still hunting for any solution, while you guys could of course report this , so they activate core ammount settings again 😉
Cheers.

Started another thread before finding this one, so may as well double up: Since the other threads keep getting closed (one went 104 pages!), I assure you its still a thing. With a ping of 27m/s, and watching the TN hover around 11, then shoot up to over 300 while my game jutters / lags like mad with the TN spike, its unplayable. I have to ride it out. Fiber optic internet, hard wired to my office shows 179 mbs up and down, and a ping of 9 to the closest Telus server. Ryzen 5800X, ROG 3060ti, 32GB Trident Silver RAM (3600 MHz, unlocked in BIOS), Aorus B550 mobo. Since it affects cross platform, my rig shouldn't matter. Anyone tell me how this is my issue? And why EA keeps saying its all fixed?
